Swipe through your camera roll. Nothing goes until you say so.

One photo fills the screen: keep it or mark it. When you stop, you see everything you marked on one screen, with the size it would free, and press one button. iOS then asks you once more, and everything goes to Recently Deleted for 30 days. The app reads your photo library on the device; nothing is uploaded.
